Drumboy Lodge is central to many horse riding events
that can be enjoyed by all ages.
For those of you who like horse racing (or even if you jus want to
experience something a little different !) -
Ayr Racecourse and
Hamilton Racecourse are only a 35 minute drive away.
Check for racing dates and special 'family days' on their websites.
We have some lovely horses on the farm which can be made available to
ride in our arena, for those of you who would like to try something new,
or even brush up on old skills !! This is proving as popular with the
adults as with the children !!

outstanding British Eventing One Day Events available within a short
drive from your holiday cottage. These are horse events where you can
see dressage, show jumping and cross country to a very high standard.
There are usually stalls and things for the children at these events
too.
Drumboy Lodge is central to many equestrian centres. West Kype at
Strathaven, Jumps at Carluke, Tannoch Stables at Cumbernauld, Strathearn
in Perth, Eglinton in Irvine, Maidenhill in Newton Mearns, Tower Farm in
Edinburgh and Muirmill and Rowallan in Kilmarnock, and Ingliston in
Glasgow to name but a few, where there can be smaller horse events of
all kinds going on.
Cross Country courses can be found at Titwood in
Kilmaurs, Tannoch Stables in Cumbernauld, Gleneagles, Strathearn in
Perth, Biggershiels, Peebles, and Stonehouse along with many others.
These venues also run training days and competitions for you to go along
and watch.
