Riders have the freedom of the country roads surrounding the Lodge.
Please ask, and we will try to recommend a ride suitable to both you and
your horse.
For those of you who like horse racing - Ayr and Hamilton racecourses
are only a 35
minute drive away. Check for racing dates and family days.
Drumboy Lodge is central to many equestrian centres. Jumps at Carluke,
Tannoch Stables at Cumbernauld,
Strathearn in Perth, Eglinton in Irvine,
Muirmill in Dundonald,
Maidenhill in Newton Mearns,
Tower Farm in
Edinburgh and Rowallan in Kilmarnock, to name but a few.
Cross Country courses can be found at Titwood
in Kilmaurs, Galston,
Tannoch Stables in Cumbernauld,
Gleneagles, Strathearn in Perth,
Biggershiels, Peebles,
and Greenfield in Drumclog along with many
others. All are within easy travelling distance.
There is a purpose built, 30 metre x 50 metre arena adjacent to the
Lodge which has a silica sand and rubber all weather surface. There is
plenty or room at the arena to park horseboxes and trailers.
Your own horse is welcome to come on
holiday with you free of charge, when staying in one of the paddocks. A stable can be made available from May to
September for a charge of £8 per night to cover the cost of bedding.
Please select a free daily hour slot for
use of the arena at time of booking. Hard feed mixtures can be bought and stored for you, for your
convenience, if desired. Your horses care is completely your own
responsibility during your stay. All horses must be vaccinated and fully
insured. BHS standard, safety
equipment must be worn at all times.

Various qualified tuition can be organised for you, if required,
for either flat work or show jumping.
The family pony is available for 'pony rides' for anyone wishing to try something a little different. For safety
reasons, the pony can only be ridden in the arena under the supervision
of Gillian.

farm to us) which holds many training days and competitions. See web

We are also only a
30 minute drive from the beach at Irvine
where there is plenty of parking areas and room to ride, at whatever
pace you want !!
