Details of local fishing.

The Regal fishery is about a mile down Meadowfoot road and there is reservoir fishing at Glengavel ( about 15 minutes drive). The scenery there is out of this world, especially during the summer months.

The Regal fishery has 2 large, fully stocked, fly ponds, with grade one rainbow, blue and brown trout.
Catch and release, barbless hooks apply. A very busy fishery, where people return again and again to fish.
There is a children's pond too where children are almost guaranteed their 'first catch' !!

Glengavel reservoir has brown trout fishing, March 15th to September 30th. 57 acres of water surrounded by beautiful countryside. Boats are available for hire.
Fly fishing only.

There are also many rivers in the area. Details are available in the information books in the Lodge. Fishing permits are available from Strathaven.

The sea is 30 minutes to Irvine and 50 minutes to Ayr.
