Established in 1999 this festival is a celebration of whisky and the cultural heritage of Speyside.. The events include whiskey tastings and distillery tours as well as community events centered round local food, drink, scenery and music.
SRPS Railtours in West Lothian have been providing scenic days out by rail for over 40 years. The carriages provide the comfortable elegance of the 1950s and are maintained by a team of volunteers. we did the Forth Circle by Steam Train which took half a day and was a lovely trip down memory lane for my Dad.
Well worth a visit. Can pass a whole day there easily ! Outdoor and indoor activities for kids.They have a range of animals from exotic Alpacas, Monkeys, Lemurs, Meerkats and Wallabys - to loveable horses and rabbits. Indoor adventure barn with slides, rope bridges, ball pools and soft play areas.Ariel slides and trampolines, kids and adults quad bikes, Quad and barrel rides, electric tractors and sand diggers. There is a Water Zone where you can have fun launching water balloons or riding in the bumper boats. a new attraction called Camelots Castle has been added where children can experience, through play, medieval times as they were.
